Trump's administration bans gender-neutral pronouns

The newly inaugurated President Donald Trump’s administration is sparing no effort in rolling out reforms designed to affect both official communication methods and the nation’s future. In the first days of his term, the president signed executive orders that ban the use of gender-neutral pronouns in government communications. During his January 20 inauguration, Trump also presented a vision of national revival, dubbing this period “The Golden Age of America.”
Ban on gender-neutral pronouns in official communications
According to American media reports, the White House has ordered federal agencies to remove gender-neutral pronouns from employee email signatures. Previously, government offices and schools had been encouraged to avoid using gender-specific terms—such as “woman,” “man,” “mother,” or “father”—in favor of gender-neutral pronouns like “they” or “them.” The current executive orders are intended to “recognize man and woman as biological realities” and to “protect women from radical gender ideology.”
Reports of the new guidelines have appeared in outlets including ABC News and Gizmodo. Documents provided to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contained excerpts from the directive, which mandates the removal from all agency communications of any references that “promote or otherwise instill gender ideology.” Employees have until 5:00 PM Eastern Time on the upcoming Friday to implement the required changes.
Similar instructions were also issued to staff at the Department of Transportation, which is concurrently investigating an aviation disaster in Washington that claimed 67 lives. The UPI reported that the directive also requires replacing the term “gender” with “sex” on the CDC website and in agency statements. In addition, personnel are instructed to review their email systems and disable any features that prompt users to provide pronoun information. It remains unclear whether similar orders will be distributed to other federal agencies by January 31.
“The Golden Age of America” – President Trump’s vision
During his ceremonial inauguration on January 20, 2025, President Trump outlined his vision for the future of the United States. In a speech published by Everything that Matters, Trump declared the beginning of a new era in which America will regain its former glory and international respect.
“The Golden Age of America starts right now. From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected all over the world. We will be the envy of every nation, and we will no longer allow ourselves to be exploited.”
He added, “Our sovereignty will be reclaimed. Our security will be restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced. The cruel, brutal, and unjust actions of the Department of Justice and the entire government will come to an end. Our main priority will be to build a proud, prosperous, and free nation. America will soon be greater, stronger, and far more exceptional than ever before.”
Trump continued, emphasizing the need to confront challenges that, in his view, have arisen from years of neglect by the previous establishment. “I return to the presidency with the conviction and optimism that we are at the beginning of a new, exciting era of national success. Although there are many challenges, they will be met with the grand scale that the world is now witnessing in the United States of America,” he declared.
In his address, the president sharply criticized the actions of the previous administration, which he claimed not only failed to provide adequate protection for citizens but also neglected society’s basic needs. He pointed to issues in the healthcare system, education, and border security, stressing that “our country is no longer able to provide basic services in times of crisis.” Trump referenced tragic events such as natural disasters in North Carolina and devastating fires in Los Angeles, underscoring that change must come immediately.
A new direction in government policy
The new guidelines for official communications, closely tied to the ideology promoted by the Trump administration, represent one element of a broader program of reforms aimed at restoring traditional values and emphasizing the biological basis of gender. At the same time, the president’s ambitious promises are intended to rebuild public trust and restore the United States’ standing on the international stage.
Although the details of how the directive will be implemented are not yet fully clear, both the new language guidelines and Trump’s rhetoric herald a period of radical transformation. The government reforms are designed not only to streamline internal communication but also to lay the foundation for a new era of American success—one in which the interests of the citizens come first.
Observers remain alert, awaiting further details on the scope and impact of these changes, which analysts say could significantly affect the functioning of state institutions and the shaping of social policy in the coming months.
